Devils blank Bruins 3-0

According to www.lowelldevils.com, Devils goaltender #31 Jeff Frazee saved 28 shots to earn his first win of the season. #14  Nathan Perkovich led the offense with a goal and an assist, and the Lowell Devils shut down the Providence Bruins, 3-0, on Saturday night at the Tsongas Arena.

With 17:38 on the clock, #9 Ben Walter gave the Devils a 1-0 lead. Perkovich and #17 Vladimir Zharkov assisted the play. Minutes later, #15 Patrick Davis picked up a loose puck brining it down the ice for a wrap-around goal past Bruins goaltender #30 Matt Dalton to increase Lowell's lead to two. Even though the Jr. Bs took more shots then the Jr. Devs in the first period, Frazee was lights out stopping all twelve Bruins shots on net.

The second period was slated clean as nothing happened until 4:12 remained in the game whe the Devils knocked in their third and final goal of the season as rookie Perkovich tagged in his second goal of his minor league career.

Frazee made nine more saves in the third period to record the fifth shutout of his Devils career, and the third recorded by Lowell this season.
