Devils one-up Sound Tigers 3-2

According to www.lowelldevils.com, for the fourth consecutive game, the Devils sparked open the gates scoring the first goal of the night. #8 Matt Corrente fired a shot from inside the blue line that passed Sound Tigers goaltender #33 Scott Munroe for his second goal of the weekend.

The Sound Tigers roared-up however later in the period twinning up the game at one on #20 Greg Mauldin’s seventh goal of the season.

Only 58 seconds into the second period, #14 Nathan Perkovich tallied in the Devils second goal of the night off a shot from #9 Ben Walter that misfired. Later on in the second period #23 Michael Swift put Lowell ahead 3-1 scoring on a power play.

It wasn’t until the clock read 19:28 in the third period as the Sound Tigers latched in their second and final goal of the night on a shot by #23 Trevor Smith.

In the game, Devils goaltender #1 Mike McKenna saved 28 of 30 shots earning his fifth win of the season. Munroe suffered the loss saving 33 of 36 shots.

The next Lowell Devils game is at the Tsongas Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 11 against the Worcester Sharks. Going into the game, the Devils are 7-5-3-0 and the Sharks are 8-4-0-1.
