Devils ruin Bruins 5-3
With only a minute into the game, #14 Nathan Perkovich scored the first goal of the night to give the Devils a quick 1-0 lead. Later in the first period the Devils tagged two more goals to make it 3-0. #15 Patrick Davis snuck a close-up shot past Bruins goaltender #32 Danny Sabourin as #26 Olivier Magnan notched in his first goal of the season with 3:00 left in the first.
To start the second period, the Bruins switched up their goaltender sending #35 Kevin Regan to the net. In the frame, nothing happened until #12 Jamie Arniel dished in the first goal for the Boston Bruins affiliate.
Just 40 seconds into the final period, #8 Mikko Lehtonen scored pulling the game within one as Perkovich knocked home his second goal of the night making the score 4-2. #9 Ben Walter scored moments after advancing the lead to three as #6 Jeff Penner scored the Jr. Bs final goal of the contest leaving Lowell with a 5-3 loss. The win against the Bruins advances the Jr. Devs streak to five consecutive wins.
In the game, Devils goaltender #1 Mike McKenna saved 26 of 29 shots as Regan was hit with the loss for the Bruins saving 20 of 22 shots. Sabourin saved eight of 11 shots.
The next Lowell Devils game is at the Tsongas Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 18 against the Springfield Falcons. Going into the game, the Devils are 10-5-3-0 and the Springfield Falcons are 8-5-3-1.
