Devils whale Sharks 5-1

At the end of the first period, the Jumbo Tron at the Tsongas Arena displayed a scoreless contest. With only 1:03 into the second period #9 Ben Walter scored to put the Devils up 1-0. Towards the end of the period #17 Vladimir Zharkov increased the lead to 2-0 with 1:39 on the clock scoring his fifth goal of the season.

Sporting a 2-0 lead into the third, #24 Alexander Vasyunov put the Devils up 3-0 with 32 seconds into the period. Vasyunov’s goal came on a 2-on-1 advantage as his wrist shot sailed by Sharks goaltender #31 Tyson Sexsmith.

About 5-minutes later #19 Michael Wilson notched in a goal past Devils goaltender #31 Jeff Frazee.

 The last two goals of the game came by #7 Tyler Eckford as he scored the minus-one hat trick – two goals all in three minutes of play to cap a 5-1 victory.

In the game Frazee saved 20 of 21 shots for the Devils as Sexsmith saved 31 of 36 for the Sharks.

The next Lowell Devils game is at the Tsongas Arena on Saturday, Nov. 14 against the Providence Bruins. Going into the game, the Devils are 9-5-3-0 and the Jr. B's are 6-8-1-0.
